Not every game is part of a league. A practice match with a mate, a Friday night Killer or a quick knockout can all be scored in Cue Sense, and they all count towards your stats.
Quick head-to-head
On My Account, tap Head-to-Head. You’re added automatically, so choose your opponent from the list (or search for them) and start the game. It’s a Free Play match, so there’s no frame target. Finish whenever you’re done.
Ad hoc game: pick a format
Tap Ad Hoc Game, give it a name and choose a format.

| Format | How it works |
|---|---|
| Free Play | Two players, no frame target. Finish when someone is ahead. |
| Killer | Everyone in, playing in a fixed order, with lives. |
| Killer Random | As Killer, but the order is shuffled every turn. |
| Knockout | Single elimination. Lose and you’re out. |
| Knockout (double elimination) | Two losses and you’re out, with a losers’ bracket. |
| Pre-configured double elimination | A double-elimination bracket drawn in full at the start. |
| Adaptive double elimination | Drawn round by round, with no rematches before the finals. |
| League | Everyone plays each other once. |
| League – double leg | Everyone plays each other twice, home and away. |
Choose Singles or, where the format allows, pairs or teams. Then add players. Pick registered players from the list, or tap Add a walk-in for someone without an account.
Score it
Ad hoc games are scored exactly like league matches. See How to score a match in Cue Sense. Knockouts draw their own bracket and move winners through automatically.
Find it again
Your ad hoc games are listed under My leagues → Ad hoc / head-to-head games on My Account, and the results appear in your match history. If an ad hoc competition finishes with a winner, it’s added to the Roll of Honour and the winner’s Trophy Cabinet.
