M1: Professional Performance Audit

Professional Performance Audit

Objective: Conduct a full 360° audit of your game — technical, tactical, mental and competitive — using match footage as the primary evidence base.

Why it matters: Elite progress is data-driven. You cannot optimise what you haven't measured, and assumptions about your own game are frequently wrong.

Watch: [Video placeholder] A walkthrough of how to break down match footage frame-by-frame across all ten performance categories.

Learn: Systematically review footage of your own recent matches against ten categories: potting, cue-ball control, spin, position, pattern play, break, safety, tactical decision-making, match play and pressure performance. Score each category out of 10 and log specific moments of strength and failure with timestamps.

See it: [Image placeholder] A sample performance audit scorecard with all ten categories and example annotations.

Practise: Film three full matches or practice sessions this month. Review each within 48 hours while details are fresh, logging at least five specific observations per category.

Test yourself: 1) Which of the ten categories scored lowest, and what is the recurring pattern behind it? 2) Name two moments in your footage where a tactical decision — not a technical error — cost you the frame. 3) What single change would move your lowest-scoring category up by one full point?

Challenge: Build a rolling audit log and update it after every competitive match for eight weeks; identify whether your weakest category is improving.

Common mistakes: Reviewing footage passively without scoring; auditing only technical shot-making and ignoring tactical and pressure performance; treating one bad match as a pattern rather than gathering enough data first.

Coaching cue: "You already know what's wrong with your game — the footage just makes you admit it."

Completion criteria: A completed ten-category performance audit from at least three logged sessions, with a written priority order for what to work on next.
